Costs and funding
Modifying or designing accessible meeting rooms can vary in cost.
Minor changes, like adjustable tables or rearranging layouts, may cost under $1,000.
More comprehensive modifications, such as installing assistive listening devices, widening doorways, or upgrading lighting, can range from $2,000 to $10,000 or more.
Employers can apply for support through the Employment Assistance Fund (EAF) for modifications related to disability accommodations.
Additionally, the NDIS may provide funding under workplace Capacity Building supports when relevant to employment goals.
