About this course
Coaching that sticks. Progress you can prove.
Every contract, KPI and quality rating comes down to the same moment: a frontline coach sitting across from a jobseeker, trying to move them forward. Most coaches learned on the job, so quality depends on who a jobseeker happens to be assigned to. This course gives your whole team one proven, repeatable method, then embeds it into daily habit over 12 weeks.
What your team learns
- The Coaching Alliance: Build the working relationship that keeps voluntary and mandated clients engaged.
- OARS skills: Evidence-based conversation skills from motivational interviewing, practised, not just explained.
- The 4D Model: A staged blueprint for employability progress every coach and client can see and track.
- Practice Interventions: More than 100 ready-to-run activities from the workbook and card deck, with tools for every stage and situation.
How it runs
- Pre-work A self-assessment and a manager conversation set expectations before day one.
- Day 1 The method: Coaching Alliance, OARS and 4D, learned by doing.
- Day 2 The practice: every participant delivers real activities, live, with structured feedback.
- Weeks 2 and 6 Embedment sessions: wins, sticking points, habit check-ins and live problem-solving.
- Week 12 Consolidation: evidence of practice change, a measurement review and next-step plans.
Every learner takes the tools home
- The PI Method Coaching Card Deck, ready-to-run activities within arm's reach during real client sessions.
- The 300-page PI Method Workbook, with 76 Practice Interventions, facilitation guides and client worksheets.
- Eight weeks of free access to our online tools after the training.
