About this course

For women already leading teams in employment and disability services

Someone handed you a team to manage and not much else. So you rolled up your sleeves and figured it out.

Now you're good at running a team, but you know you have gaps. And you're not sure how to get from where you are to your next role.

Women Who Lead is a leadership program built for women running services in IEA, Workforce Australia, Transition to Work, Parent Pathways and NDIS-funded supports. Everyone in the room knows the work, so nobody needs QIF audits, contract changes or caseload pressure explained to them. We spend the time on the skills needed to lead in the sector.

The intensive

  • Five consecutive days: Monday 7 to Friday 11 December 2026, plus online follow-up sessions.
  • Four strands: Self, Influence, Leading Others and Leading the System.
  • You do the talking: No lecture runs longer than 15 minutes, and at least 60% of every session is you talking, practising and applying what you are learning.
  • Small groups: Kept small to maximise connections and learning.

What you walk away with

  • An honest picture of how you lead, using strengths assessments and a DISC profile.
  • A 1:1 Skills and Strengths Discovery assessment and coaching session with Bounce Global.
  • A career development plan you build with your manager.
  • A workplace project you deliver over 8 to 12 weeks that helps your organisation and builds your career portfolio.
  • Practical tools for negotiating, giving feedback, coaching, leading change and making the case upward.
  • A network of women across the sector who get it.

Who it's for

Team leaders, coordinators, program managers, site managers and service managers, including anyone acting in one of those roles, with at least one direct report.

It's not for people who aren't leading anyone yet, and it isn't an accredited qualification.

Where and when
